Order of the Arrow Banquet

180 Arrowmen enjoyed good food and fellowship at the Lodge's annual banquet held at the Eagles Club in Freeport on January 8. The group was honored with a visit by Presi­dent Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln told of some of his experiences before becoming president and during his presidency. The president honored the group with his Gettysburg Address. Members of the National Junior Leader­ ship Training (NJL T) course made a presenta­tion about the newly revised course. Lodge Advisor, Randy Weaver, presented apprecia­tion certificates to the chapter advisors and the various committee advisors. During dinner, a video presentation was shown of NOAC (National Order of the Arrow Conference) held this past August.

Honored with the Founder's Award for dedication and outstanding service to the Order of the Arrow within the Blackhawk Area Council were Joshua Ehlers and Seth Strohecker. Both men have provided valuable leadership and service to the Wulapeju Lodge the past several years.

 

 

This year at the Winter Banquet, the Arrowmen received the Wulapeju Peace Pipe Pin as a gift for attending.
