Prior Meetings

Nov 20, 2008 Archery at Cimmaron Archery, 9201 Main St, Richmond. Indoor range - $11/person.  We collected 36 toys for our annual Christmas Toy Collection. 

October 17, 2008. We meet at Richardson Farm 9407 Richardson Road, Spring Grove. (Route 12 to Richardson Road (North), 2 miles to farm.  We will have a brief meeting and then go through the corn maze.  The cost is $7.00. Plus bring a non-perishable food item for the food drive. September 17, 2008  Oakwood Hills Park We planned our meetings/schedule for the coming year. Also we had our annual barbeque.

May 15, 2008 – We spread mulch around trees at St. Mary's to help repay them for use of the space to hold our Chapter Meetings as our service project. There also were Chapter Elections and a barbeque.

April 17, 2008 – Frisbee Golf at Lippold Park, Crystal Lake – election nominations and chapter planning.

February 2, 2008 - Lock-in was at the Belvidere YMCA. We learned how to bead an OA pocket arrow, went swimming, had election team training, played basketball, video games, and ate pizza.

December 20, 2007 This month's OA meeting was at St. Mary's Church in Crystal Lake we had Iron Chef Competition  and Election Team Training.

November 17, 2007 This month's OA meeting was at Crystal Bowl at 1:00 pm at 4504 E. Terra Cotta, Crystal Lake. Bowling and Election Team Training are on the agenda. Troop 161 is responsible for the event. We collected 20 un-wrapped toys for the Christmas toy collection..

October 19, 2007 The October meeting was held at Richardson Farm corn maze.  The theme is the 2006 Bears NFL championship and one honoring the Illini logo (Indianhead) that was retired. After a short meeting we went through the maze. We also collected cans of food for our annual food drive.

September 19, 2007 -- Oakwood Hills Park we did election team training for the 2008 election year, elections for chapter positions - Vice Chief and Secretary and we planed the activities for the remainder of the year.  After we enjoyed a barbeque.

May 17, 2007 – Chapter Elections, planning activities for next year and our service project. We spread mulch around trees at St. Mary's to help repay them for use of the space to hold our Chapter Meetings.

 

April 19, 2007 – Troop 456 planned roller skating at Just For Fun Roller Rink Route 31 in McHenry 7 - 9 p.m. Election nominations and chapter planning for next year. 

March 15, 2007. Troop 159 arraigned for a rock climbing outing at the North Wall in Crystal Lake.

February 10, 2007 - Lock-in at the Belvidere YMCA. Learn how to bead an OA pocket arrow, swimming, election team training, basketball, etc.

January 13, 2007- OA Winter banquet

December 21, 2006 – St. Mary’s, Crystal Lake.  We had an Iron Chef Competition. Members brought their best campout dish to see who was the best cook in the Chapter. We had favorite dishes suitable for camping; stews, chillis, side dishes, salads, desserts, etc. Iron Skillet Awards were presented.  Election Team Training was held.  Troop 158 is responsible.

November 4, 2006 - Bowling at Brunswick Zone in Algonquin at 2075 E. Algonquin Road (Rt. 62).  Bowling started after our business meeting and Election Team Training. The cost was be $6 including shoe rental. Troop 369 was responsible. 15 OA Members attended. Un-wrapped toys were collected for our Christmas Toy Collection.

September 20, 2006   The first meeting of the season was held at the Oakwood Hills Village Park. We had a Barbeque Night with Troop 161 cooking. Elections were held to fill out our Chapter positions.

May 18, 2006       We met at the Prairieview Education Center at 2112 Behan Rd. We worked on our OA Service Project helping the McHenry County Conservation District. They asked our help in removing Garlic Mustard in sections of the Prairieview Education Center.  We also had our business meeting, we went over the Spring Fellowship at Canyon Camp (June 2 - 4), the Brotherhood Conversion, we held Chapter Officer Elections, and talked about next years events.

April 20, 2006       We  had the 1st Annual Kishwaukee Frisbee Golf Tournament at Lippold Park in Crystal Lake.  We will be meeting started at 6:30 pm to start playing frisbee golf. After the tournament gave out our Frisbee Golf Tournament awards, had our chapter business meeting, Spring Fellowship Brotherhood Conversion Workbooks and election team training. 

March 16, 2006   We had a Troop challenge - game night.  We had a business meeting, election team training, election signups and a brotherhood conversion discussion.  There was a Battleship game challenge. After the games ice cream was severed.

February 11, 2006 we had our meeting at the lock-in at the Belvidere YMCA in Belvidere, IL. Troop 267 planned a wonderful event. The cost was $10/person. There was election team training, swimming, volleyball, basketball, board games, pizza, pop and fellowship.  It started at 8:00 pm and went until 6:30 am.

 

December 10, 2005  We went bowling! Troop 159 planned a fun event at the recently rebuilt Edgetown Bowl, Woodstock, IL. The cost $6.00 for bowling. We collected many food items for our food drive.

November 17, 2005  We made the January Winter Banquet decorations St. Mary's Church.

October 21, 2005   We went to the corn maze at Richardson Farm in Spring Grove, IL. We had a short business meeting, then we went through the corn maze. We had a great time doing the maze. September 21, 2005     This was the first meeting of the season. We had a Barbeque Night. Troop 161 cooked hot dogs and hamburgers. Election team training was done. The meeting will be held at the Oakwood Hills Village Park.

May 19, 2005 was our service project, we spread mulch around trees at St. Mary's to help repay them for use of the space to hold our Chapter Meetings. We planned many of the events for the next year and Chapter elections were also held. The Chapter secretary was elected. The Chapter Chief and Vice Chief will be chosen at the Spring Fellowship.

April 21, 2005 was an Indian Craft Night on at St. Mary's. Membership cards were also distributed.

March 17, 2005  is High Adventure Presentations at St. Mary's. Pizza will be served.

February 12, 2005 was the lock-in at the Belvidere YMCA. We meet at the Belvidere YMCA at 8:45 p.m. and left around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.  Cost was $10.  Election training was given. There was swimming, basketball, volleyball games, board games and video games.

January 8, 2005 is the Winter Banquet. (See Events Page for information on the Winter Banquet.)

December 16, 2004 was the Potluck Cooking Competition at St. Mary's in CL. Many cans of food for our annual food drive were collected. Election team training was provided.

Saturday November 20, 2004 was bowling and the toy drive at the Edgetown Bowl, Woodstock, IL. We collected 45 new toys for our annual toy drive. After a short business meeting everyone participated in an hour of bowling. Election team training was also provided.

Friday October 22, 2004 We went to the Corn Maze at Richardson Farm in Spring Grove, IL. After a short business meeting we all when though the corn mazes. Richardson has many corn mazes on a 24 acre site and is billed as the world's largest corn maze .
